Route 66 in an E Type – Day 6

Day 6: Miami OK to Weatherford OK– 245 miles

Well the sun is back out and it is a glorious Oklahoma day.   Terrain has changed dramatically and the road surface has become a bit more harsh.  However, the visual sensations are fantastic.

No Route 66 trip is complete without a stop at the Blue Whale in Catoosa OK.

Lunch is the highlight with some great German fare at the Rock Café in Stroud OK.  Dawn Welch, the proprietor, was the inspiration for the character Sally Carrera in the movie Cars.
