1994 Jaguar XJS
88,600 miles
Brooklands Green with black convertible top and tan interior
Asking price – $14,995.00

This car was owned by the late, beloved CJC club member Ron Weaver, and is currently being offered only to his fellow club members.  Please contact his son wmarklanders@gmail.com for more information.
The car is located in Winston-Salem, NC.

The car drives very well since its recent $5,000 maintenance.  The engine is smooth and strong, brakes work very well, transmission shifts nicely, and the car feels comfortable and confident on any road.  While it’s not perfect, I think this is a good “driver car” and needs little work to make it a wonderful experience for someone. .
Recent maintenance totaling over $5,000 includes:
  • New battery
  • Replaced hood struts
  • Replaced valve cover gasket
  • Ignition system overhaul – new spark plugs, plug wires, rotor and cap
  • Transmission fluid drained and refilled
  • Engine oil changed with full synthetic Liqui Moly
  • Replaced front brake pads, rotors, and calipers, repacked front wheel bearings and painted hubs and calipers. Brake system flushed, hoses replaced
  • Replaced rear brake pads and rotors
  • Repaired transmission oil cooler lines
  • Coolant system flushed and refilled
  • Wiper blades replaced
  • Replaced rear subframe mounts
  • Recharged air conditioner
Maintenance items that still need attention:
  • Convertible top does not currently operate.  I am looking further into this.  The top itself and the rear glass appear to be in excellent condition.  I remember Ron replacing it a few years ago, so hopefully this is something minor.
  • The paint is oxidized, particularly on the trunk deck lid where there is some pitting.  The rest of the car really isn’t so bad.  There’s a minor scuff on the front bumper cover and the front spoiler has some dings. The chrome on this car is like new.
  • The A/C seems to run fine, but never seems to be as strong as you think it should be (maybe it’s as good as any XJS?)
  • Leather seats are worn, and the wooden console around the gear shifter has cracks.  Some of the interior controls are worn.  That said, the carpets are excellent and the steering wheel column and controls are in great shape.
